What the Chamber is made of

Personal experience

Nine years of daily practice with letterforms — magazine work, identity systems, and long study of the classic references. This course is what I wished existed when I started.

Theory + practice

Every lesson pairs a concept with a hands-on assignment, so by the end you will have two portfolio-ready case studies — not just a stack of notes.

Bonus library

A curated set of books, films, studios and typeface resources worth your attention, so you know where to keep looking when the course ends.

« Before & After »

Before
You feel unsure when a client asks you to experiment with type, or you do not know where to begin looking for the right font.
You are limited when working on logotypes because you cannot draw a custom letterform or modify an existing typeface.
You understand type classification and letter anatomy, and can justify any typographic decision with confidence.
You can build font-based logotypes using the core rules of layout — two portfolio-ready case studies included.
After

Every letter, like every person, is unique and has its own personality.

“Every letter, like every person, is unique — and has its own quiet personality.”

— from the first lesson —

— About the author —

Anastasia Pavlova

I have been actively working with type since 2016. Over these nine years I have designed for magazines and for civic institutions, studied the foundational books of Spiekermann and Tschichold, and learned directly from working type designers.

I believe that letters are not simply a collection of lines — they carry emotion, memory and personality. On this course we work not only on technical rules but on hearing the character of every typeface.

Their Words About the Course

Zhenia Shcherbakova
The course exceeded my expectations. I did not imagine we would dive so deep into the history of type — it goes far beyond just drawing letters. It was the best thing I could have done for myself this year.
Aida Valieva
Somehow the lessons felt like meditation — I did not want them to end. The atmosphere is so calm, and the bonus materials were more generous than I could have hoped for.
Anna Kuzmina
I finally have a structured foundation instead of relying on intuition every time I open a project. I understand now why some typefaces work and others do not.
Katya Schigol
There is a real calmness about how the course is taught — the instructor gathers everyone under her wing and makes the hard parts feel approachable.
